As a teacher it is my job to not only educate, but to keep my students safe as possible while they are in my care. Prior to Covid-19 my classroom was set up for small group collaboration with 6 tables and 4-5 students grouped at each one. I want nothing more than to return to my classroom as normal. Unfortunately, "new normals" are to come- and my concern is how will space my students properly and ensure they are getting the best education possible? My goal is to be able to teach whole group with proper distance between students and also allow for movement while learning, due to longer periods of time sitting. We typically have 15 minute rotations in each class period, but due to new guidelines, movement will be very minimal in the classroom. The desk will allow for students to be spaced as much as possible, and the stools will allow for movement, they are also adjustable to each student's comfort level. This will help students to stay focused and learn during these uncertain times.
