I am requesting noise cancelling headphones since sometimes loud noises bother our students, and headphones are often requested. I am also requesting a variety of voice output assistive technology to use in our classrooms at school so that our kids can use their voices. The tools range from a single button switch that might say, "No!", "My turn.", "Let's go." to a leveled device that has pages of symbols that can be programed so kids can communicate more complex messages such as "First, I go to recess, and then I go to lunch." or "My name is___, and I am 6 years old". A social story book and Tiny Talker device were included as a way to teach students how to use a device to talk and why kids need a communication device. The Tiny Talker is so small that students can put it in a back pocket and take it everywhere they go. The words on this device are programmed already and are very functional.
