My ESL students are in a hybrid model class. These books will be used at school and home learning. The reason for all of these books is to create time in the week to have the students read to themselves if they are higher with English proficiency or be read to if they are lower with English proficiency. The students need to learn to speak, listen, read and write in English so it is important to explore them all. This can be done by reading books every week. In our classroom, we Read Like a Warrior (Our school mascot is a warrior). The students are expected to read/listen and write about their favorite parts in a book.
