The sport of roundnet (Spikeball) is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, and it attracts players of all ages and ability levels. With Spikeball, we hope to introduce a game that students can participate at school, home, or in a more competitive environment. The physical education department at Northern wants to bring people together and build community through the sport of Spikeball. Spikeball will allow us to enhance the Northern High school community by providing physical education and intramural opportunities that transcend the boundaries of traditional sports games. Spikeball will allow us to use a variety of movement concepts in a setting that students may find socially engaging and physically challenging. The game can be played by all students and faculty as well. The flexibility of the game will allow us to play indoors and outdoors.
