Offering books that encompass a vast array of genres, interests, and reading levels help students to discover books they will enjoy. Many students have not explored the wide variety of literature available and therefore, think they hate reading. This is a disheartening misconception. Providing books that allow students to explore different authors, writing styles, and genres fosters a love for lifelong reading while targeting important literacy skills. Having a robust classroom library, that is freely accessible to all students, encourages even reluctant readers to find their literary niche and become better readers, thinkers, and leaders.
