For the students in my class, the first book in the Track Series, Ghost, was the first book they ever read cover to cover, and definitely the first book they had finished since second or third grade. My students have begged to read the second book in the series, Patina, and now that we have started it, they are already excited to read Sunny and Lu next. My students have expressed a love and excitement for this book series that I have not seen from them during any other reading opportunity, in class or out. In helping me provide access to these books, you would be helping nurture a growing love for reading in the lives of these children!
