Students will be reading the book Rosie Revere, Engineer. Throughout the week, students will be involved with activities correlating to this book. The book details a young girl who invents, but her inventions are not appreciated until an important relative arrives. Students learn the importance of following their dreams and never giving up. After reading, it's time to become some second grade engineers. Students will be working in groups to create a building or structure of their choosing. Students will have to brainstorm an idea for a creation, and then build using the provided sets. Students will have to use creativity, teamwork, and positive efforts.

About my class
