Our district has chosen to allow parents the option this fall of either in-person or distance learning. Because many of our students lack technology at home, our school is loaning many laptops out to students who have already chosen the distance model. This leaves fewer laptops for classroom use by our students who chose to attend in-person. Our fourth grade team would like to add to the number of laptops available for students to use in the classroom, so that we can teach students to access online content in the event that all students move to distance learning later this year. If that happens, our students would then borrow these laptops to use at home to attend class Teams meetings, as well as log on to our math and literacy curriculum websites.
