This is the first year our school has an outdoor garden. The club is just for kindergartners. We are hoping to set the foundation and teach about the environment that will stay with the student and bring the knowledge home with them. Their parents have shared with us how excited their child is about growing their own garden. During the summer the student and their families will help water and maintain the garden. They will also be able to take home the produce. Letting them have hand-on experience to learn about nature and growing produce. Giving them a sense of pride in what they can accomplish. Filling them with self esteem. Teaching them, when you work together you can achieve anything.
