The items I am requesting will allow players to practice hitting in a variety of ways. The Jugs L screen allows the pitcher or coach to be protected while throwing batting practice. Without an L screen, it would be very dangerous to have players take batting practice. This will allow players to see live pitching while working on their hitting skills. The jugs net will allow players to hit off a tee or soft toss into a net. When there isn't a net available, players have to chase after their balls after hitting, which would waste valuable practice time. With the jugs net, students can get a lot of practice swings at one time while they are working on their fundamentals of hitting. By donating to this project, you will not only be allowing our players to have excellent resources that will increase their hitting skills, but you will be helping our team with safety by protecting our coaches and players during batting practice. Since this will be the first year of the baseball program, we are starting from scratch. This team has very limited resources available to them at this time. The items I selected will be essential in helping students work on the fundamentals of hitting. I can't wait to see the smile on their faces when they start getting more equipment to help them succeed.
