Physics and Calculus Students combined, will be able to apply various concepts they have been learning throughout the school year from their textbooks in hands on, fun, and memorable ways! These interactive types of experiences are the best way for our students to learn and remember these concepts. Attending Physics Day will be a once in a lifetime experience for our students! Coming from a low socioeconomic community, a majority of our students have never been to 6 Flags. The costs to travel are expensive along with the 5 hour drive to the Amusement Park can make this type of trip out of reach for most. On top of applying concepts we are learning in our classes, students will be able to use various types of equipment to collect data that they would never have the chance to use in a classroom. This is the type of trip that can create a love of STEM as well as inspire future careers in math and science fields.
