I will be studying choreographic techniques, staging and blocking, technical skills, character development, acting techniques, musical interpretation and more - and will bring all of that back to my students come fall! As a dance and drama teacher in an arts-focused public school in Tacoma, WA, I impact students every day through the power of the arts. This summer, I have the opportunity to study in New York City, at the Music Theatre International Broadway Teacher's Workshop, with 3 of my amazing colleagues, but we need help getting there. Each year, I co-direct musicals for 6 different grade levels, as well as choreograph and direct our Dance Company. I will be excited to apply my new learning. Thank you for your consideration!
