The fluorescent lights are headache-inducing. I suffer from migraines and I have two students who do as well. The lights in my classroom do not help this. Also, I am looking for a homey and comforting vibe for my students, mostly high school AP seniors, as they balance their transition into the adult world. Please help me provide a comfortable yet rigorous atmosphere as my students find their voice as they write (frequently) and read (frequently). My classroom often becomes a home-away-from-home for the students and little things like this allow them to feel comfortable. With so much reading and writing happening every day.

About my class
