Our students attend a Title I school in Southwest Missouri. Many of our students live in poverty. Books are a luxury. Our students work hard and face many personal challenges on a daily basis that impacts their ability to learn. As a Literacy Coach, I work with teachers in grades K-2. We are fortunate to also have a additional Literacy Coach that works with grades 3-5. Our teachers work diligently to meet the diverse needs of their students. Quite often they are spending their own money to supply their classrooms. Together we are working to improve instructional practices and empower our students with a love of learning.
