In the community that we serve, most children come from low income families, or will be first generation college students. In the League of STEM Leaders, students will gain an understanding of the challenges and rewards of joining an engineering career path. To then this can be a daunting mystery. Our current robotics team, the Lego Leader Legends, has already been a part of their first - FIRST Lego League competition, and this experience has empowered them to lead an in school competition for every 5th to 8th grade student with a goal of giving them a window into what goes into the coding and engineering process and recruit new talent. Our team plans to enter their competition for the next school year ready to meet the challenge and cooperation of citiwide, statewide, and nationwide FIRST Lego League teams!
