My students are currently sharing 5 calculators for an average of 30 students per class. If they are not using one of these calculators, they are using their phones - which they are not allowed to have out - or doing mental math - which can lead to common mistakes. A lack of resources is not something new to these students. For once, I would just like to give them all the same opportunities for success that other students are given. My students need to understand that they deserve so much more and advocate for themselves. But until then, it is my job to fight for them and to teach - and give - them what they deserve.

About my class
