What is the best way to engage students? Students can imagine a life though the adventures of characters in books. Some students are unaware of how to control their happiness, sadness or even anger at various stages of their life. Students live their life around so many people that go through the same feelings, but they are not learning how to appropriately deal with their emotions. What's a better way to demonstrate these emotional concepts but through characters in a book. Children can relate and understand their feelings when they see a character exhibiting similar feelings and situations and have a solution to these feelings that others see as inappropriate. Using children books to show students that someone else may have these feelings will start a healthy conversation and may even work out a problem they have been having.
