Materials from this project will provide my students with access to official volleyball equipment. This equipment will be used by pre-k through eighth grade students during P.E. and other school wide activities. I currently teach a volleyball unit, but have no official equipment. Volleyball standards, an official net, and a regulation ball will allow for exposure to a new sport and physical skills. Within the volleyball unit, students will learn how to volley, strike, bump, set, spike, and serve. These skills will be carried over from volleyball into other net and striking activities. Regulation volleyball equipment provides students with exposure, and opportunities to be introduced to the world of volleyball.
