Pencils are a vital part of my students' learning. When they learn something new (either from me or by themselves), I remind them to write it on their music. This way, the next time they go to play, they don't have to try to remember what it was and spend time re-learning. Unfortunately, many students either don't have practice at organizational skills or their families cannot afford pencils, so I run out very quickly. Between the "junk drawer" purchase and several boxes of pencils, I'm sure their learning would be greatly facilitated. Of course, dry erase markers will make learning more fun!

About my class
