After a year and a half of teaching virtually and in person we are back to school. I am so excited for us to conquer what the new school year has in store for us! Being a teacher in the community where I also reside has made me appreciate my students eagerness to learn, grow, have fun and smile daily. My goal this year is to create a loving environment that focuses on what the students need. My students are from diverse backgrounds and abilities. I made these title selections because I would like to provide them with literature that they can relate to, and that speaks to them while teaching important life lessons. These books will help them learn about the importance of being back in school. Also, it will help us celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Additional texts have been selected to further develop Social Learning skills through community learning, discussing feelings, building our self esteem, and problem solving. Reading these books aloud can bring students to realize and comprehend things that otherwise can be difficult to explain. By donating to this project you are helping my amazing students discover new adventures. Thank you for helping the students in our community fall in love with reading.
