By providing tangible materials to my students, it allows them each to have their own set of materials to use during distance learning. Many of my students live in poverty and do not have basic educational materials such as scissors, glue, markers, accessible to them at home. My students require a multisensory approach to learning and do not benefit from digital learning as compared to typical peers. By providing materials to use during digital instruction, it will improve consistency in their level of engagement in their education with continued focus on academic, social, vocational, and functional communication during transitional years.
