Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, we have to limit movement in the classroom. Flexible seating will allow for students to get their wiggles out at their desk without contact with other students. My students need to move and wiggle. Pre-pandemic my lessons were full of movement and activities to keep the kids engaged, because sitting in a plastic chair is hard on kids and adults! With the pandemic, I am required to keep students apart and spread out to minimize contact. With a flexible seating option, my students will be able to move and wiggle at their desks without coming into contact with others.
