My classroom is 1-to-1 with Chromebooks, yet students are not supplied with a pair of headphones. Right now only a handful of my students have headphones (provided by their own parents) and they will usually ask their table partners if thy can borrow their headphones throughout the day. It breaks my heart that some students are missing out on valuable learning opportunities because their parents can not afford to purchase them a decent pair of headphones. I have tried other options such as cheap ear buds or cheap over-the-ear headphones, but they usually only last 2-3 days. By purchasing these headphones, I am hoping that my students will all have an equal opportunity to learn using technology!
