I am instructing Math 180 this school year. MATH 180 is a blended learning program, consisting of rotations between teacher-led instruction and student-paced software. Most of the students who attend my classes are severely below grade level in math in some cases 3 to 4-grade levels behind. This program is an intensive remedial tool which is supposed to help bridge the gap to help those students to catch up who are inadequate in Math. The program takes place in lieu of connections courses, and most kids are not pleased to be a part of the class. There is a whole unit on mindset change to keep the kids motivated to want to perform better in math, and to help them adjust to not being allowed to participate in Arts/Physical Education.
