My students will read about Walt Disney and then create their own amusement parks. They will read about King Tut and the pyramids and create tombs and pyramids using the building materials I requested. By having access to interesting topics at their reading level, my students will be inspired to expand upon what they have read doing STEAM projects with these themes. This project will create a cross curricular experience which will be able to be hands-on since I can send the materials home. They can use recycled items and found objects from home to round out their projects. They are already excited as I have shared these ideas with them.
