My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of students. Students in my classroom like to practice letter, sound, and word recognition through various learning apps and websites. We utilize iPads in the classroom to expose the students to different types of learning and technology. Often they get distracted by the noises that come from their class mates iPads but need the sounds to hear sounds, words, and stories. Headphones will benefit our students by giving them the opportunity to listen and work independently at their own level without the distractions of others. My kindergarten students look forward to expressing themselves through art activities. Art can be a productive way to teach a lesson and spark interest in our young English language leaners. Additionally, it allows them to showcase their individuality. It is often difficult to conduct art activities due to limited supplies. Basic art supplies would benefit our classroom and allow us to do art activities connected to our lessons.
