This project is a grade level collaboration for the 3 full day Kindergarten classes. This year we received 32 brand new iPads that students use for Reading and Math targeted learning. We desperately need covers to keep the iPad screens safe and more easily transportable between our classes. Play is an important learning time in Kindergarten. Current research shows that young children learn critical interpersonal problem solving skills and about the world around them through play. All of our students thrive intellectually, socially and emotionally when given opportunities to play, build and create - both individually and in small groups. Puzzles and stem building toys provide this experience in an engaging, creative way. We are looking to bolster our supplies to provide more opportunities for larger numbers of students. The iPads are used daily for Math and Reading by over 90 students. The puzzles and stem building toys will also be used daily during our small group Center activities. Students will work together to solve the puzzles and build - working on communications skills, sharing and problem solving.
