Currently my students are using headphones that are being held together with duct tape, and no longer cushion the ears. These headphones will allow them to access the remedial software and test preparation materials on campus. Headphones are an essential teaching tool in order to provide remedial assistance for my students. Our state assessment provides Designated Supports to my students through an online platform, that requires the use of headphones. A comfortable, working set of headphones is essential for the students to be successful during practice for and while actually taking the assessment. Being able to listen to material comfortably and clearly will make a huge difference in the results of the assessment. Students will be able to focus on the assessed material as opposed to fidgeting with uncomfortable headphones that may hurt or that may not have clear audio.
