About my class

These materials will help the children I care for in my classroom with special needs and individual needs to help get their wiggles out when needed and feel safe and comfortable during our rest times each day! The weighted blankets will help with weight to help my student who has many sensory challenges calm her body. I have been putting weight on her with what we can to help and she goes to sleep successfully when weight is put on her without any discomfort. This helps the other children in the classroom better rest their minds and bodies also because she is resting also! Pre-K students are so new to structure, they need a little extra help at times and I believe in doing all I can to give them tools and ways to help them be successful for Kindergarten next year! Additionally, our whole group lessons will be better enhanced by the fidget toys to get the wiggles out and help children move as we read a story and then do other things in lesson time! This will only enhance their learning and comfort in the classroom! They are precious and loved and I want to help them feel that in all the little and big ways! Also, we need additional items in centers for playing while learning fun! I have about 7-8 students who speak a different language every year, this year I have one who speaks Turkish, one speaks Vietnamese, three speak Arabic, and 3 others that speak Spanish as their first language and have been learning English! The materials for centers encourage communication and talking with their classmates and myself. They have come far with the other English speakers! These materials will be greatly appreciated and cared for! Thank you so very much!
