Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student's academic performance. I am looking to provide a pizza party for a class of students who reach 100% daily attendance for the next 10 weeks. The goal for this project is to increase daily attendance. The activity goal of the attendance challenge will be a school wide activity that rewards daily attendance for all students 6th-12th grade. The social worker will tally the percentage of daily attendance for the week for the next 10 weeks. This incentive will encourage all students school wide to attend school daily and also increase learning opportunities due to increase attendance.
