My students struggle with mathematics. These tools will assist them in understanding basic math skills as well as problem solving. Additionally, the different activities will help them to make connections with the real world. The Calendar Math Activity Program provides daily participation in learning about the purpose of the calendar and its connection to mathematics. The students are able to use and improve upon their application, computation and problem solving skills. The Magnetic Charts provide hands-on experience for the students, especially in a talk and turn situation or during an explanation. Visuals help students to better understand concepts that they might otherwise find difficult to complete.
