I am asking for books to help fill the shelves in our classroom library. In Readers Workshop, students read for 30-40 minutes per day. Students will be able to choose books at their individual level, which will help them continue to enjoy independent and partner reading. Having access to interesting books of various reading levels is a must in keeping children engaged in reading for that long of a time. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that I want my students to REALLY enjoy! The best way to increase reading ability is to simply read more. By funding this project, you will allow that to become a reality for my students. These books will be used daily in my classroom this year and for many years to come.
