Our school has a population which is 95% or greater of students who are learning English as a second language. We work very hard on their literacy skills. Our students have math skills that are often significantly below grade level. I am working to establish a math library in our classroom. It will be a cozy area with its own book shelf and books, where students can read books that are related to math. They can learn some basic math concepts and practice reading! Its a win-win! I will also use these books as a read aloud to the class! Thanks!
