My students require a variety of materials, including accommodations, in order to access the curriculum and learning at their highest potential. I am currently using items that are re-purposed or serving multiple functions to help assist my students in meeting these needs. If I were given the additional seating options and sensory items, my students would be in an environment more conducive to their learning. It would additionally make the room less crowded by having furniture that more efficiently utilizes the classroom space. By taking care of their sensory needs, I am able to focus on their growth both academically and socially.
