The teachers at my Dual Language school are amazing! They are passionate about teaching their students in English and Spanish, however... Our teachers need proper materials to do their jobs well! I am requesting easel charts for all of our staff to use when creating pictorial charts for their students. A pictorial chart is basically a large drawing that is labeled in one or both languages. These charts are discussed and placed around the classroom for easy reference when students are reading and writing. They are excellent for vocabulary development, and they inspire many interesting discussions among the students. They help make information understandable in the primary language and in the new language!
