Many of the students in my class have severe attention and hyperactivity disorders, as well as anxiety issues. These fidget seats and bands will allow my students an outlet to focus their energy on. It will allow them the chance to continue working while channeling their inner emotions and struggles. My students are often challenged by the idea of sitting still and completing seatwork and I feel adding these simple manipulatives into their daily routine will encourage their learning. We will also use these items to teach responsibility and personal space in the classroom setting. Many people see useless fidgets, I see opportunities for my students!
