My hope with the materials that I am requesting, is to assist my special education students who are not able to communicate in the general education classroom, as well as a way for them to interact with their peers in the classroom. The tactile cards and Go-talk will be used during large group language arts instruction where they will trace the letter and push the button to speak for them. Also, the river stones will be used to increase student literacy by having them integrate movement and large motor activities while working on targeted literacy skills like letters, sounds, and phonemic awareness.
