I teach first grade at a public school in New Jersey. These listening center books will allow my students to listen to rich literature and greatly improve their reading fluency skills. I chose stories that my children are familiar with and will absolutely love. This center will benefit my students in so many ways. Many of my students are struggling readers, however, they love books and listening to stories. This center will allow my struggling readers to spend more time enjoying the story and work on comprehension skills, rather than focusing so much on decoding the words in the story.

About my class
