On this field trip our students will be able to connect their classroom learning to real world experiences in science, in addition to traveling outside of their neighborhood. They will be able to see, in real time, the academic vocabulary they hear within their science lessons. Our students with disabilities will extend their learning about marine animals, their food chain, their ecosystem, and their behavior. We will also encounter a vast array of sea creatures including sharks, rays, and tropical fish. Most importantly, we will learn about marine animal conservation efforts and how to protect their environment. This is an exciting time for my students. This will be the first time many of them have seen sea creatures in real life. Please help us provide our students with the opportunity to visit a different city in Texas as we gain a deeper understanding of sea life.
