Technology is the future. Students are faced with not only learning intense curriculum for state tests, but everything is technological in the job world. If our children are not afforded the opportunity to learn in this manner, they will be left behind. Enhancing the classroom with more technology encourages innovation and creativity for meaningful and fun learning that engage both the teacher and student in collaboration for more enriching lessons. By providing Chromebooks in my class, it will allow students to work at their own pace, explore information and research places of the world not known to them. It frees up time for the teacher to work more one on one with others with special needs, while providing the opportunity for peer collaboration and creativity. Students tend to be more engaged when given different opportunities for learning besides with the traditional pencil and paper. My hope is to provide them with this limitless learning in math and science, utilizing online research for class projects, Google Classroom, Kahoot and so many other online tech tools that enhance fun learning behind the screen.
