Studying the solar system can be difficult when your only materials are a few flashlights and a globe. The use of this model would make it more concrete and able for students to visualize. It would make it more interesting and understandable. By having this model of the sun, earth and moon interest in this topic would be more understandable. Studying how the earth's seasons are based on the tilt of the earth and the direction it points in regards to the sun can be a difficult concept without the use of a very good model or example. This model would satisfy our need for a quality visual.
