A light table in my classroom means students' get to explore and have fun while learning! Our light table will be used during center time for academic skill practice. For example, my students can use the light table and manipulatives to create letters and words. My students can use a light table to reinforce their number recognition and math sense. The best part of having a light table in the classroom is my student's ability to plan, explore, and create using problem solving skills and access their creativity. A bonus to having a light table is also to build and strengthen my students' fine motor skills. Finally, who wouldn't want to see the illumination and light of the various colors flash as they work as a community to solve a problem!
