Students in second and third grade at my school learn about exciting content areas such as whales, insects, plants, communities, as well as researching prominent figures through biographies. Unfortunately, our library's collection of these types of texts is severely outdated and in need of updating. I would like to purchase a set of high-interest, nonfiction texts on these topics to support our second and third grade scholars. These books would increase our students' engagement in these content areas while providing them with up-to-date informational texts. The biography collection would also provide texts about important leaders of interest to our culturally diverse community.

About my class
