These materials will make a difference Social and Emotional coloring books and play therapy dolls. Kinetic sand and stress balls will help students calm themselves both in the counseling office and something they can take with them to class. The play therapy kit has many different miniatures for students to re-tell a story when they are having a difficult time explaining it in words. Tangible play dolls and sensory objects are important for SEL and Mindfulness because it helps students identify how they are feeling and then ways to cope with it. All of these items will help in my mindfulness and SEL project in my counseling office.
