My students would benefit from having Kindles with cases in our classroom to practice skills independently. Students would have access to the Kindles to use as a resource when needed and during small group instruction. The apps on the Kindle would be specific to the math, literacy, and academic needs in my classroom. Students will use the Kindle to reinforce skills taught throughout the school day. They are fearless when it comes to technology and, as children of the 21st century, they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world. Currently, my students have access to shared laptops only once a week. One of my goals as a teacher is to incorporate technology into our daily lessons in order to prepare them for their future.
