Play is an essential part of learning for preschool students. It teaches social skills like interacting with others, compromise, building language, and helps increase attention to others. For many of the students in my classroom, socialization is a difficult thing to learn. With these pretend play materials, my students will have more opportunities to engage with others and learn social skills that are needed. The products that I have selected are engaging, safe, and real to life which will allow them to experience life skills in the safety of our classroom. Play is such an important part of learning for my students. My hope is that we are able to give them the social skills needed to help them be successful in life.
