We are one of the largest school districts in the country, but our state was hit hardest with the housing foreclosures. With less tax dollars coming to our school district from housing taxes, we were forced to consolidate some schools and close others. Our students are adjusting to 800 more kids in the hallways, while the teachers are dealing with less funding for those extra 800 students.
