In my school we departmentalize 4th, 5th and 6th grade. I teach all of the reading to the kids. There are certain novels that I teach in my class, but we are in need for new, more current titles. The kids go to specific groups each day for extra help in reading called "WIN" groups. In these groups the kids have the opportunity to read novels along with other skills they work on. But, a lot of our novels are falling apart and are so old and outdated. The kids are hungry for more. They want more diversity in the literature that they read and I am SO excited about that! Not only will I use some of these new novels in class, but they will be utilized in smaller groups as well. I wish I could, but I can not just purchase 5-10 new groups of novels for my kids. This is why I am asking for your help.
