My classroom has students reading at all different levels. Some are above grade level while others are just learning English. A class set of headsets will allow them to access materials above their current reading level. That way they can access the same grade level curriculum as other students. It will also allow the students to record their own voices as they read difficult aloud texts or their own writing in English or another language. Having non native speakers record their voices and then share them with the class, where sometimes they are too shy to do it live, is very powerful. My students and I are really looking forward to having these headsets.
