My students utilize the graphing calculator as a supplement and an aid to solve complex mathematical tasks on a daily basis. Students in my classroom like to practice the mathematical concepts but struggle at times with pre algebra skills. My school doesn't have a large enough calculators for students to use in class or during regents week so this will help to bridge that gap. Students have gaps in their educational level that often times cannot be fully addressed working in 45 minute blocks therefore it is imperative to give them all possible chances for success. This starts with being fully equipped to undertake tasks being assigned.
